Bellechester City Council

January 11, 2017

Meeting was called to order by Mayor Keegan Quinn at 6:30 p.m.

Pledge to the flag.

Roll call was taken: The council in attendance: Mayor Keegan Quinn, Council people Jason Nurnberg, Doug Majerus and Rich Majerus as well as clerk Greg Ruehl, Matt Mohs and Dan Howard. Absent Council Kim Gilsdorf.

Minutes of December, 2016 meeting were approved with motion was made by Rich Majerus with a second by Jason Nurnberg to approve the minutes as modified. Motion carried.

Bills were reviewed and a motion by Jason Nurnberg with a second by Rich Majerus to approve and pay the bills as presented. Motion carried.

Old Business:

New business:

-Swearing in of Doug Majerus, Rich Majerus, and Keegan Quinn.

-Appointments for 2017: Motion was made by Jason Nurnberg to keep the same appointments as for 2016 with a 2nd by Rich Majerus. Motion carried.

Fire Association: Rich & Doug Majerus

City Engineer: Matt Mohs form WSB

-Matt Mohs WSB: Asking to be appointed as city engineer. This position is of no cost to the city. Motion made to create the city engineer position and appoint Matt Mohs made by Rich Majerus. Second made by Jason Nurnberg.

– Garbage pickup is the normal day unless Monday is the actual holiday.

-Approve Zemke Building Permit. Motion made by Rich Majerus second by Jason Nurnberg. Motion Carried.

-Special Election: Proposed June 6th. Motion made to make June 6th the date of the special election by Jason Nurnberg with a second by Rich Majerus. Motion Carried.

Clerk Report

Treasurer Report – shut off letters will be sent.

Water/Wastewater/Facility Report

-Training for Dan and Kyle in Red Wing. Motion made to send then to training made by Rich Majerus with a second by Jason Nurnberg. Motion carried.

-Permit for Waste Water has been accepted.

Motion was made by Doug Majerus with a second by Jason Nurnberg to adjourn the meeting. Motion carried. Meeting was adjourned at 7:12 pm.

Notices

Board of Equalization Meeting – will be held Tuesday, April 12th from 5:00 – 5:30. The April monthly city council meeting will be moved to this date, following the Board of Equalization meeting @ 6:00.

Reminder – Street Parking Ordinance #27 is in effect – No Motor vehicle shall be left parked on any street(s) in the city from Nov. 1-April 1 for the hours of 2am until 6am with snow fall of more than 2”.

Recycling – Please recycle whenever you can. There is a recycling bin located on the north end of town by GB Feed and Supply. By recycling, this will keep our garbage rates from rising.
