Bellechester City Council

June 8, 2016, 2016

Meeting was called to order by Mayor Keegan Quinn at 6:30 p.m.

Pledge to the flag.

Roll call was taken: The council in attendance: Mayor Keegan Quinn, Council people Kim Gilsdorf, Rich Majerus, and Paul Reding as well as, Greg Ruehl, Kyle McKeown and Dan Howard. Also present was Jodi Gordon and Matt from WSP (Rochester). Jason Nurnberg was absent.

Minutes of May, 2016 meeting were approved as written and a motion was made by Rich Majerus with a second by Paul Reding to approve the minutes. Motion carried.

Bills were reviewed and a motion by Kim Gilsdorf with a second by Rich Majerus to approve and pay the bills as presented. And the late Disposal bill to be paid in addition to the other bills presented. Motion carried.

Public Forum –

-Jodi Benson: Finishing landscaping at the Bellechester Tavern and put gravel down on the property at the same time as reconstruction project. Motion to allow this made by Kim Gilsdorf and second by Paul Reding.

-Matt from WSP: Adams Ave options and plan for the rest of the city. Preliminary dates for the project were also discussed. Special meeting requested and will be set a date in the near future.

New business:

MicroLoan For Street Reconstruction – Kim Gilsdorf makes a motion with a second from Paul Reding, to pass road construction resolutions and loan agreement. Motion carried.

Bellechester Tavern Liquor License – Motion to approve liquor license with conditions made by Kim Gilsdorf and second by Rich Majerus. Motion Carried.

504 2nd St Utility Bill -Draft letter to new owners to pay the remainder of June bill.

Rich Majerus Re-roof building permit. Motion to approve made by Kim Gilsdorf and second by Paul Reding. Motion carried.

Filling hole at the end of 2nd street by trailer court with gravel. Temp fix until street gets replaced. Rich will take of it.

Old Business:

Dog Bite Ordinance – discuss – Tabled until October. Reminder in September to council

Clerk Report

-Motion for new printer made by Rich Majerus and second by Kim Gilsdorf. Motion carried.

-Motion for Microsoft office suite made by Rich Majerus and second by Kim Gilsdorf. Motion carried.

-Motion for new external storage for city files made by Rich Majerus and seconded by Paul Reding. Motion Carried.

Treasurer Report –Warning letters will be sent this week.

-Motion to erase Dave Pete water bill off the books made by Kim Gilsdorf and second by Paul Reding. Motion carried.

Water/Wastewater/Facility Report – Hydrants have been flushed. Discharging is done till fall.

Council Concerns: None

Mayor Concerns: None

Motion was made by Kim Gilsdorf with a second by Paul Reding to adjourn the meeting. Motion carried. Meeting was adjourned at 8:02 pm.

Meeting called back to order at 8:06pm to discuss the policing contract. Motion made by Rich Majerus to accept the three year contract with GCSO, second by Paul Reding. Motion Carried.

Meeting adjourned again at 8:15pm.

Recycling – Please recycle whenever you can. There is a recycling bin located on the north end of town by GB Feed and Supply. By recycling, this will keep our garbage rates from rising.
